How Is It Paid For?
It can be paid for by various sources.  In general, home care costs are covered as follows:

Private Pay                                                                                                                                  Also known as “private duty” or “hourly”, is paid for out of pocket directly by the client. Services are provided 4 to 24 hours daily as required.

Insurance                                                                                                             Also known as private duty, because publicly funded sources (Medicaid or Medicare) are not covering the cost, insurance will sometimes pay for services.  If a potential client has insurance that provides home care coverage, we will gladly speak with the claims department prior to initiating service to clarify the parameters of coverage, at no charge to the prospective client.

Medicaid                                                                                                               Also known as “in-home” or “chore worker” services are covered by Medicaid. Our agency works closely with the State of Missouri in helping clients get authorization for these services. We have been a vendor of the State of Missouri for Medicaid since 1989, thereby making us one of the oldest providers of this service in the state.

Medicare                                                                                                             Also known as "intermittent" or "visit care", individuals are often disappointed to discover that Medicare provides limited weekly visits and no hourly coverage.  These services are provided only on a per visit (45 minutes to 1.5 hours) basis, intermittently (usually 2 to 5 times a week) for only a short period of time (60 days or less).  We are not a provider of Medicare services at this time.

Other Sources                                                                        There are numerous other payment sources that can help cover the cost of services in your home.  StaffLink  works with clients whose services may be covered by special programs such as VA reimbursement, etc.              Back To Top of Page
